Religious Turnkey Websites Do Exist

By editor | Dec 23, 2009

You might think it odd—a turnkey website that is religious?  Religion usually tends to not go hand in hand with commerce, especially e-commerce, but there are some turnkey websites that turn a profit by connecting themselves with religion.  These turnkey websites make money in a couple of different ways, but they also often offer free information to their visitors.

One example of a religious turnkey website is a website that features the text of the books of the Bible.  This text is free to read—after all, you can find free Biblical sites all over the internet, so it would be pointless to try to convince people to pay to read the Bible.  Instead, these sites feature ads and sell products related to the text.  For example, they may feature an Amazon.com ad for Bibles or religious texts.  They might also have a script that pulls in auctions for a site like eBay.  Of course, these types of ads run themselves thanks to the scripts that work behind the scenes.

Another way religious turnkey sites make a profit is through Google Adsense and the like.  The ads they feature on the site will be connected to religion in some way, and users may often click on these ads to see where they go.  Every time they click, you get a small payment.  Sometimes, if the site the ad links to sells products, you’ll even get a commission off anything your visitors buy.

You don’t have to know anything about running a website to make use of a turnkey website.  The sites are designed to do it all automatically.  Of course, you can manually add items or modify anything on the site yourself if you want.
